What you’ll be doing in the position
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Provide support and assistance with walking, transferring, and positioning
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, dusting, and dishwashing
- Engage in conversation, social activities, and recreational outings with clients
- Monitor clients’ vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status
- Reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Escort clients to medical appointments, errands, and social outings
- Provide emotional support, encouragement, and companionship to clients
What’s required of you
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Prior experience in caregiving or related fields is a plus
- A genuine desire to help others and provide emotional support
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and assisting clients with mobility
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are crucial
- Exceptional communication skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid, PSW) are highly desirable
- Friendly and positive attitude
