Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops using manual labor and machinery
- Set up, operate, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure crops receive adequate water
- Prepare soil for planting by tilling, fertilizing, and applying mulch or compost
- Apply pesticides, herbicides, and other treatments to manage pests and weeds
- Repair and maintain fences, barns, and other farm structures
- Inspect crops for signs of disease, insect infestation, and other issues
- Sort, clean, and pack harvested produce for shipment or storage
- Maintain accurate records of crop yields, livestock production, and farm activities.
